Elizabeth Frazier nick name 'Jo' is the last elder living of Bluffton Church. She has blessed us many years with her singing and faithfulness. Her prayers were short and sweet , but carried a lot of meaning to the heavenly throne. Jo at 95 can still sing out a tune with a little help. She has been a cornerstone for Bluffton Church and her presence can always be felt here. Elizabeth raised 6 children, mostly by herself, and worked hard to provide for them. We pray her singing will bring you much happiness as it has done for us.

 Entertaining Angels

Scripture:
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have
entertained angels unawares.” — Hebrews 13:2 (KJV)
Message:
The writer of Hebrews gives us a gentle but powerful reminder — to show
hospitality, for in doing so, some have hosted heavenly visitors without
realizing it.
In Genesis 18, Abraham sat at the entrance of his tent during the heat of the
day. When he saw three men standing nearby, he didn’t hesitate. He ran to
meet them, bowed low, and offered water, food, and rest. Those “men” were
angels — and one was the Lord Himself. Abraham’s kindness opened the
door for a divine encounter. That day, God confirmed the promise that Sarah would bear a son.
In the next chapter, Genesis 19, two angels arrived in Sodom and were
welcomed by Lot, who urged them to stay in his home. Lot’s hospitality not
only honored God but ultimately saved his life and the lives of his family.
Hospitality in the Bible is not merely about sharing a meal — it’s about
sharing love, protection, and dignity with others, whether or not they seem deserving.

Jesus said,
“I was a stranger, and ye took me in” (Matthew 25:35).
When we show kindness to others, we are serving Christ Himself.

Story: “The Homeless Visitor”
A small-town pastor once prepared for Sunday service when a disheveled
man walked into the church. His clothes were worn, and his smell turned
heads. Some members frowned and shifted away as he sat quietly in the back.
After service, the pastor approached him and offered a warm smile, a
handshake, and a meal. The man’s eyes filled with tears. He said softly, “You
don’t know what this means. I was going to end my life today, but I asked
God to send me a sign that He still cared.”
The pastor never saw the man again — but he often wondered if that
encounter was more than it appeared.

Lesson:
God still sends “angels” — sometimes heavenly, sometimes human — to
test, teach, or bless us. The person we overlook, ignore, or pass by may
carry a message from God Himself.
So let us live with open hands and open hearts, ready to welcome others in
Christ’s name.
For as Hebrews 13:2 reminds us —
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have
entertained angels unawares.”
